I do not know how others cope with situations like this without faith.

Holding Chase Close

18-year-old college student Chase Mobley was in a car accident on September 19, 2013. Since the accident, Chase remains in a coma and has been transferred to a long term care center that specializes in brain injuries. Chase's recovery will require extensive medical care and his family needs help with his medical expenses.

Chase Mobley is a highly intelligent 18-year-old, whose dream is to pursue a career in law, perhaps working on the national level with Homeland Security. However, on Thursday, September 19, 2013, Chase’s life changed in an instant. One moment, he was driving home from class at Itawamba Community College and the next moment, he was fighting for his life.

One of Chase's high school teachers remembers what a very bright, promising student he had been. Chase graduated with honors from high school and had been in several clubs, including the Beta Club and Spanish Club. He also participated in student plays and was part of the Senior Homecoming Float Committee.

Gayle Mobley, Chase’s mom, was at home when she received the phone call that all mothers dread. Her son had been in a car accident and was at the hospital. Since then, Gayle, Chase’s father, Phil, and Chase’s brother, Cole, along with other family and friends have been praying that he will be alright. Their faith is getting them through the days and months as they pass. "I do not know how others cope with situations like this without faith," said Phil Mobley, "Your prayers and support mean more than we could ever express." Chase has been in a coma since the day of the accident; however, he has begun to show signs of movement.

On October 24, 2013, Chase was transferred to a long term care facility that specializes in brain injuries. His family continues to be confident that, with God’s help, Chase will recover. They long to hear his voice and see him smile again, all the while the medical bills keep growing. Meeting the goal of $20,000 will take away tremendous stress from the Mobley family. Together we can help the Mobley family as they hold Chase close.

My prayers are with Chase and your family. May God hold you in His loving arms that are always outstretched for all of us. Remember that He has promised us that He'll never leave us nor forsake us; and in Isaiah 63:9 we are also assured that in our distress, He is distressed and He sends the Angel of His presence to save us. This particular angel is only mentioned once in the Bible. Wow, His Angel of His presence is with us when we encounter heartache, loss and despair. He is with YOU. You are not alone, and I as your brother in Christ hurt with you, yet rejoice in His love toward us to see us through this and every other difficulty of life. To God be the Glory!
