The Story

Huntsville, TX

Brittany Robbins is a loving mother and girlfriend. During her free time, she enjoys making memories with her family, watching sports, and going to her boyfriend’s son’s extracurricular activities. On January 2, Brittany gave birth to a precious baby girl named Eliza. This was one of the happiest days of Brittany and her boyfriend, Jorge’s, lives and they couldn’t wait to get home with her baby girl.

On January 4, when Brittany and Eliza were scheduled to go home, doctors noticed Eliza was having difficulties with her oxygen. After various tests at Texas Children’s Hospital, she was diagnosed with a heart defect called tetralogy of the fallot. This is a rare condition caused by a combination of four heart defects that are present at birth.

This diagnosis was extremely hard for Brittany and Jorge. Eliza is currently being monitored and had a shunt replacement on January 22. This procedure will allow Eliza’s arteries to grow. Then when the doctors are certain she is ready, Eliza will have a full heart repair. In the meantime, doctors have them staying at the Texas Children’s Hospital so they can keep an eye on Eliza. With Brittany being unable to work and medical bills piling up, the Robbins family is in need of assistance.

Brittany and Jorge hope to raise $9,350 through RedBasket.org to offset the cost of Eliza’s medical bills, travel expenses, and daily living expenses. Raising these funds will allow the family to focus on Eliza’s recovery without the added stress of medical bills piling up. Throughout this battle, Britany and Jorge have remained optimistic. “Eliza has proven to be a little heart warrior,” said Brittany. By making a tax-deductible donation, you will make a tremendous difference in the lives of this strong family. Donate and share their story today!
