Tammie Jones (40) is a loving mother and wife. Her husband, Jeff, is the primary breadwinner while she stays home with her son who has multiple health and mental challenges. Unfortunately, a recent health diagnosis has made it difficult for Tammie to care for her family.
Over a year ago, Tammie was diagnosed with cellulitis, a bacterial skin infection. The cellulitis caused her skin to develop sores that spread through her body. When she contracted a staph infection due to her cellulitis, she went into septic shock and was rushed to the intensive care unit. The physicians had a difficult time controlling the infection causing her to spend over two months in the hospital recovering. Once she was released from the hospital, she spent several more months in a care facility.
Throughout Tammie’s recovery journey, Jeff has been her rock. She is unable to work or even go outside into her yard. Caring for her son has been difficult due to her physical limitations. Her condition has also been very taxing on her physically and emotionally, but she tries to stay as positive as she can.
In need of financial assistance, Tammie hopes to raise $8,700 through RedBasket.org to help pay for her medical bills. “It will be a huge relief to not have these medical bills hanging over my head and allow us to pay our other bills,” Tammie said. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation and relieve the financial burden of her hospitalization. Share her story today!
