The Story

Farwell, MI

Alishia Eichhorn (29) has been happily married to the love of her life Jessie (30) for nine years. They are proud parents to Maximus (2), whom they adopted in 2016 and absolutely adore. As a family, the Eichhorns enjoy spending time together in the great outdoors. Whether it’s going for rides on the four-wheeler, roasting hot dogs or s’mores over a bonfire, or watching movies on the outdoor projector, they love making family memories. They have so much love to give, and are looking to add another bundle of joy to their lives and to give Maximus a sibling.

After experiencing difficulty trying to conceive for several years, the Eichhorns had their first appointment with a fertility doctor in August 2016. It was there that Alishia learned she had polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). After an additional diagnosis of a unicornuate uterus or uterine malformation in December 2016, Alishia was prescribed more medications to treat infertility. By December 28, 2016, the couple was pregnant. On February 14, 2017, the couple received the heartbreaking news that their baby’s heart had stopped beating.

After some thought, the Eichhorns have decided to move to the next step, which is to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment. Alishia and Jessie want nothing more than to grow their family. The happiest moment of their lives was adopting their son Maximus, and now they would love to give him a sibling. Due to the overwhelming cost of an IVF treatment, the Eichhorns are in need of assistance to make that dream a reality.

They hope to raise $14,460 through RedBasket.org to offset the costs of an IVF treatment. Raising these funds would bring a tremendous amount of joy to Alishia, Jessie, and Maximus. “I just want Maximus to have the same experiences Jessie and I had growing up with siblings,” said Alishia. By making a tax-deductible donation, you can help the Eichhorns add more love to their family and help to bring them a lifetime of happiness. Donate and share their story today!
