The Story

McMinnville, TN

Since 1999, Kids of the Community has been devoted to enriching the lives of disadvantaged and unprivileged youth in the McMinnville and Warren County communities. Through various programs and activities, the organization is able to help these kids find their true potential and live a more fulfilling, stable life. However, with the organization growing, they are in need of updated technology and building renovations to keep up with the demands of today.

Kids of the Community is a community-based, entirely volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to the ideal that all children within the community have the right to learn fundamental core values from passionate adults. Their vision is to provide one-on-one contact on a regular basis through structured activities with caring adults to make a positive impact on these children. In order to enhance the experience for these children, Kids of the Community wants to make renovations to their building and provide the kids with updated technology.

The goal of Kids of the Community is to teach children life skills including cooking, mechanical, economics, manners, and many more. The organization helps about 250-300 kids per week, but they want to enrich the lives of as many children as possible. “The goal is to increase the amount of children this non-profit organization can serve,” said Chief Financial Officer, Ron Weaver.

Ron hopes to raise $48,500 through to assist with building improvements and purchasing computers. Raising these funds would allow the organization to continue its mission of helping create a meaningful, beneficial experience for at-risk youth. “Our community at large cares for its youth,” said Ron. By making a tax-deductible donation to Kids of the Community, you can help enrich the lives of at-risk youth. Donate and share their story today!
