Isonville Elementary provides a safe learning environment for children in Isonville, Kentucky. The school staff strives to inspire their students and help them develop a strong foundation of basic education, fundamentals, and a sense of worth and pride. With many students living in low income households, the school tries to provide access to the most recent technology that will help students succeed in the classroom and community.
Dolly Fannin, Isonville Elementary Principal, plans to replace the current computers with new iMac computers. The school needs 25 computers for the computer lab and five computers for each of the seven classrooms. “The computer lab will be utilized for the whole school while the classroom computers will assist the students in enhancing different instructions and applications,” Dolly said. Unfortunately, Isonville Elementary recently suffered cuts in funding for technology which has prevented them from moving forward in replacing the computers.
Dolly and the Isonville Elementary teachers hope to raise $66,000 through RedBasket.org to cover the cost of purchasing 60 iMac computers. “If we reach our goal, the students could benefit the second half of the school year with the implementation of the purchased computers,” Please consider making a tax-deductible donation and allow the school staff to continue providing the highest quality of education for their students.
