Since 1985, Share Ministries Food Bank has been dedicated to fighting hunger in Grayson County. With the continued support of loyal volunteers, staff, and donors, they have been able to assist over 30,000 individuals since being founded. However with nearly 24,000 people struggling with food insecurity, the food bank is always in need of donations.
The mission of Share Ministries Food Bank is to feed all that are hungry in the Grayson County community which includes approximately 1,000 people weekly. If the food bank reaches their goal, they will also be able to impact the benevolence ministries of 24 outreaches and churches in Grayson County. “Share Ministries will be restocking our weekly food ministry, which in turn benefits the church food ministries we supply, plus the individuals we help,” said Founder, Bill Whitehead.
In partnership with WoodmenLife Texas Chapter 11, Share Ministries Food Bank hopes to raise $10,000 through RedBasket.org to purchase canned food and dry food items to restock their pantry. Raising these funds would allow them to continue their mission of fighting hunger in the Grayson County community. “Ultimately, we want to help those in our community to get back on their feet to take care of themselves. We all need each other in all socio-economic levels and all stages of life,” said Bill. By making a tax-deductible donation, you can help Share Ministries Food Bank continue feeding hungry people in the Sherman community. Donate and share their story today!
This fundraiser is part of the Fighting Hunger Challenge. During the third quarter of 2017, WoodmenLife and RedBasket.org are partnering to support our National Community Focus of Fighting Hunger. WoodmenLife chapters are encouraging community hunger relief organizations to fundraise through RedBasket.org and raise money to purchase supplies and provide meals for their communities.
